Subject: re:elusive aromas 


The problem is the tasting glasses and sample size we have
to have to work with. The "highball" style is not condusive to 
retaining the finer points of the Aroma. A proper "glass" with
the correct shape, with a full serving does retain the nuances longer.
 It would great to have 6 or 8 oz to judge
from a tulip glass, but that just isn't going to happen. Since
taste is 90%+ olfactory is is ridiculous to discount the aroma in 
judging.
