The growth of small brewers there is quite robust in fact. His website has plenty of links but some of course are only in Italian. A quick look pulls up a nice link to breweries by region: http://www.mondobirra.org/micro.htm Fortunately, many of the Italian brewers have embraced the Belgian styles. Le Baladin in particular has a very talented brewer. Buon Viaggio! The dead links are almost always the e-mail links for the organizer. While this may be a link setup problem, organizers need to double check them so judges can contact the organizer. The links not directly related to the competition fall into two groups. 1. Links that direct you to County/State Fair websites and give you no information the competition, e.g., what styles will be judged, what bottle sizes are acceptable, where to send entries, and to whom send judge applications. 2. Links that direct to the website of the club sponsoring the competition where you are left to your own devices to "hunt-n-peck" for the competition details. In both cases, there is no reason for not submitting a link that goes directly to the competition details.
