Subject: Second call for judges 


The First Brews Crews competition will be judged at the Corner Brewery
in Ypsilanti, Michigan this Saturday from 10-5.  The winner of the
competition gets to brew their beer on the 7-barrel system at Arbor
Brewing in Ann Arbor, so the competition should be fierce. :-)

Please come out and help us.  If you haven't been to the Corner yet, you
owe it to yourself to visit this laid-back neighborhood brewery, and
sample their excellent beers.  The entire tasting room is smoke-free
(smoking is allowed in the beer garden), so don't fear that your
sensitive smelling apparatus will be contaminated with residual smoke.

Subject: AHA National Homebrew Competition Finals 


Howdy Fellow Beer Judges,

We are hosting the AHA National Homebrew Competition Finals here in Denver on 
June 21st as part of the AHA National Homebrewers Conference. Over 4000 
homebrew entries have already been judged in 9 regions and these have been winnowed 
down to the final 700 entries for evaluation at the Finals. The judging will 
be at the Sheraton Four Points Hotel at I-25 and Hampden Avenue in south 
Denver.

We are opening registration for judges and stewards and are hoping that some 
of you might be interested. We are using a new judging check-off scoresheet 
that will save a lot of time and carpal tunnels.

at 7:30 pm at the Wynkoop Brewpub which will include a Sensory Analysis 
seminar by Randy Mosher and an intro to the new scoresheet by Gordon Strong.
