And more seriously. From the Worthog Homebrew Club in South Africa,
congratulations.

Good to hear that you boys have got yourselves fully together. I did
hear that you guys had written your exams but didn't hear about your
results.

I am sure the South Africa Judges won't mind me passing on
congratulations on their behalf.

Here's to better beer... And many successful and professionally judged
competitions.

To be precise, you are correct, if you use "judges" -- plural!

But back in the late 90's, Gil Drury on Sydney's North Shore
organised a BJCP-sanctioned comp:

  09/20/1997 Sydney North Brewers Spring Beer Competition

And I happened to be judging there as a BJCP Certified level
judge!  In fact, I judged at a fair number of comps down there, 
Newcastle Ag Fair, Bathurst, Eastern Suburbs, NSW State, 
Aussie Nationals in Canberra (1999?), but those weren't 
BJCP registered.

It's good to see that the Aussie bandwagon is rolling now
with full BJCP certifications moving along, and thanks to
Andy Walsh and others for pushing that through.  I miss
you guys and wish I had the time and dosh to get down there
and judge with you again!
