Subject: Beerfest 2006 - historic Australian BJCP comp? 


This weekend is Beerfest 2006.  To the best of my knowledge, this will 
be the first comp where card carrying BJCP judges will be judging in an 
Australian competition.  It takes place in Mirboo Nth, a couple of hours 
out of Melbourne, home of the Grand Ridge Brewery and Hotel.  There is a

There has been at least one previous comp which was BJCP sanctioned 
(Vicbrew 2005, and possibly others) but I don't think any of us had our 
exam results yet.

This year it looks like there are going to be quite a few courses so 
hopefully we will see more BJCP qualifying comps in the future.
