Oh my, my, > what is going on here??? Am I reading this right? You are reading it right. The BJCP competition calendar lists what's in the BJCP database. The database lists what the competition organizer put on the electronic registration form. Our processes are automated, so they're not getting edited along the way. Sometimes competitions are held on multiple days. We ask for the day of the primary judging to put on the calendar, and figure that those who are interested can get the details directly from the competition web site or when contacting the organizer to register to judge. Not sure if this is the case here, or if it's just data entry error. It's an old acronym but it still applies to 'puters: GIGO. If any of these are wrong, please have the competition organizer contact me and I'll change them. Gordon it_director [at] bjcp [dot] org ---------------------------------------------------------------------- From: David Houseman Date: Tue, 24 Jan 2006 07:52:10 -0500 Subject: Boston Homebrew Competition Date Calvin points out: By the way -- to the BJCP web guys: I see that the 12th Annual Boston Homebrew Competition is listed as being on 02/06/2006! Yikes! It's on 02/18/2006! I looked up the original submission for registration and it said that the competition would Start on 2/06 and would End on 2/18. We picked up the Start Date for the web rather than the End Date. I imagine that the organizer will be contacting judges about when they will be needed. But they can contact the BJCP Communications Director to modify the date on the web if needed.
