Subject: Southern English Brown Ale 


I'm going to be presenting a class on Brown Ales in a few weeks and am
wondering if anyone can site an available example of a Southern English
Brown Ale that I can obtain for sampling.  Perhaps someone has made a batch
that exemplifies the guidelines or knows of a commercial micro example that
I could purchase.  I will need about 40 ounces for the class.

Folks,
	Extreme beers are hot right now -- I was just asked what category to use
for the non-barley "-wine" style beers.  None of them currently have their
own style in the guidelines, and the best suggestion I could make was to
compete in cat. 23.  Does anyone have a better idea/alternate suggestion,
and is there any plan to initiate separate subcategories for each of the
"-wines"??  Has anyone seen a non-barley -wine compete favorably in any
other category??
