Sometimes organizers forget that judges might come from anywhere (on vacation, doing business travel, etc.) to participate in their local competition. The best source I know of is the competition calendar on the BJCP website. http://www.bjcp.org/compsch.html We list the competition name, link to the website (if available), the city, the date, the contact name for prospective judges, the phone number and email address. With the new instant payment system implemented by Al Boyce, the BJCP Treasurer, registration is a very fast and painless process, and competitions are getting on the calendar usually within a day or two of registration. But also remember that all competitions are normally listed on both the BJCP (www.bjcp.org competition schedule) site and the AHA (www.beertown.org homebrew events) web site. Handy when you're traveling and looking for something to do :-)) David Houseman ********************************************************************** * JudgeNet - the beer judge digest * * Send plain text only, no HTML, MIME, encoded text or attachments * * Manage your subscription online: http://synchro.com/judge * * Send subscription requests & changes to judge-request`at`synchro.com * **********************************************************************
