I tend to agree with this. I'll pay more attention to and have more respect for a score sheet from a good brewer than Joe Random National/Master-Judge. I'd rather get a score sheet from someone with practical knowledge of the brewing process than some dickhead who thinks he or she is some short of Judge God. And I've met a few of those worthless wankers. In a recent large regional contest, all I got from a well-respected beer author and National BCJP Wanker in the final Overall Impression section of my score sheet was this: "Not grabbing me." Hmmmmm...... Thanks, buddy. Bet that took a boatload of effort to scrawl three words. Why didn't it grab you? What would it take? What would you do to the grain bill, hops? Yeast suggestion? Technique flaw? Buy me a beer some time and I'll name names. ;-) -- Steve "I Can Write More Than Three Words" Fletty ********************************************************************** * JudgeNet - the beer judge digest * * Send plain text only, no HTML, MIME, encoded text or attachments * * Manage your subscription online: http://synchro.com/judge * * Send subscription requests & changes to judge-request`at`synchro.com * **********************************************************************
