Judging for this years competition runs from June 1-4, 2005. This is one of Canada's two largest homebrew competitions. We had over 400 entries last year and intend to break the 500 mark this year. As always we encourage our friends south of the 49th, and not forgetting Alaska, to compete against our local Canuck talent! Our competition is Canada's MCAB VIII qualifying site and an AHA sanctioned event. Entry fee is $6.00 per entry (an entry is 2 bottles - any size, any shape) for the first 3 entries and $4.00 per entry after that. As always, the uniquely designed and much coveted Aurora Brewing Challenge medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers. Categories this year include all of the new BJCP categories. We'll have additional prizes for most of the medal winners also. Over $1000 in sponsored prized so far include wort chillers, beer magazine subscriptions, thermostats, grain mills and lots of neat beer and brewing paraphernalia. As always, the engraved "Best of Show" and "Brewer of the Year" pewter mugs will be available for your taking if your brew is up to the challenge.
