Hosted by the Central Florida Home Brewers in Orlando Fl. This is a great competition to hone ones judging skills and try some great beer from all around the country. The official competition is held at the Hotel Orlando North, located in The Maitland Center Office Park May 21st thru May 23rd visit the Central Florida Home Brewers web site for detail information of the event itself. http://www.cfhb.org Early round judging will officially start on May 14th `at` 6pm thru May 20th at the Head Judges house located at 227 Mockingbird Lane, Winter Springs Fl 32708. I only have four judges lined up - including myself - so if you're free on June 5, we'd sure appreciate the use of your palate! Entries must consist of at least 40% wheat in the grist or extract, and will be accepted in these categories: Group A . 3B (American Wheat) . 19B (Witbier) Group B . 17A (Bavarian Weizen) . 17B (Bavarian Dunkelweizen) . 17D (Weizenbock) Group C . 17C (Berliner Weisse) . 20A (Straight Lambic-Style Ale) . 20B (Gueuze/ Geuze-Style Ale) . 20C (Fruit Lambic-Style Ale) Category 24 (Specialty/Experimental/Historical) will also be open to those wheat beers that don't fit these styles.
