Just for the record, I did not suggest that here. (I did suggest 5 or 10 exp. points per exam point on a BJCP board discussion list, but not on JudgeNet.) Your comments refer to Mike Dixon's post. Well, any open forum can easily degenerate, especially with a hot topic like this one. Actually, however, I was the one that suggested taking the discussion to JudgeNet; I had faith in this forum to treat the subject seriously. I really like what I'm seeing so far -- lots of ideas, good debate, even just quick opinions. Keep up the good work! Let's face it, if you score over 80 on the exam, you have a very solid knowledge base already. Grading exams will only expand and solidify that knowledge base, which is the purpose of the BJCP. I fail to see how this would in any way "degrade" the scores of Master judges who originally scored over 90 on the exam. ------------------->Denny ********************************************************************** * JudgeNet - the beer judge digest * * Send plain text only, no HTML, MIME, encoded text or attachments * * Send subscription requests & changes to judge-request`at`synchro.com * ********************************************************************** Subject: Digest for the period 3/9/2004 - 3/10/2004 Date: Wed, 10 Mar 2004 01:01:05 -0500 Table of contents ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.
