Both myself and one other judge from our region wanted to volunteer a year ago to assist in the review process and we were turned away. In addition, there are several respected breweries in our region that feel slighted by lack of attention to their artisan efforts and are left out of the Guidelines as a reference. My point is two-fold: Guidelines are useful if one can get an example of style from their nearest geographic brewing center. Prime Example: 3C Cream Ale - Genesee & Little Kings are not available on the West Coast. Additionally, how are the Guidelines going to reflect the segmentation and changes of the industry without feedback? A good judge observes and reports what they find to their peers. Please don't forget us :o) Thanks for listening.
