My wife is from Fairport, NY, outside of Rochester, and we go back there fairly often to visit her family. We have been to one place that stocks a lot of commercial beer from around the world, appropriately named Beers of the World. My wife thinks it's in Henrietta, NY, possibly off Jefferson, but look it up to be sure. The last time we were there, I was too impressed by the selection and not knowledgable enough about tasting to have concerns about the freshness of the beer, but I once heard from a Rochester-area beer geek that some of Beers of the World's selection can suffer somewhat from age. I have no idea of the veracity of that statement, or what the current situation might be. At any rate, it's a fun, "kid in a candy store" kind of feeling you get when you walk in.
