Subject: Berliner weisse 


I'm a little confused about what ought to be in a Berliner Weisse. 
The guidelines say, "Wheat malt content is typically well 
under 50% of the grist..." even though this is classified as
a wheat beer (category 17C). 

Is that really right? Those few recipes I see call for at least
50/50 wheat and barley.
