Are Pro brewers helping to make up the style guidelines, certify new judges, judge in competitions, and otherwise run the BJCP? Maybe you Pro Brewers would speak up, and let us know you're reading. I somehow doubt that many are... From our club, the Bay Area Mashers, we've had several home brewers "go pro"... Geoff Harries, now owner of Buffalo Bills Brewpub in Hayward, Kurt Anderson, brewer for Steelhead brewing co, Shaun O'Sullivan, partner/brewer in 21st Amendment in San Francisco, Peter Licht, partner/brewer in Coast Range Brewing Co in Gilroy. These guys help support our club through generous sponsorships in the World Cup of Beer (coming up March 23, by the way), but are mostly too busy to give their time in anything home brew oriented, such as the BJCP, or club activities. If there are professional brewers helping out with the BJCP, we should acknowledge, applaud and encourage their efforts, because it's difficult to stay involved in the business, AND the hobby of brewing. --Message_Part_SYNC575343FC18 Content-Type: message/rfc822 Return-Path: Received: from blount.mail.mindspring.net ([207.69.200.226]) by synchro.com with SMTP (Mailtraq/1.1.6.1176) id SYNC574943FA6F for judge`at`synchro.com; Thu, 07 Mar 2002 21:28:12 -0500 Received: from 1cust13.tnt4.medina.oh.da.uu.net ([63.11.119.13] helo=ms606108) by blount.mail.mindspring.net with smtp (Exim 3.33 #1) id 16jA74-00003S-00 for judge`at`synchro.com; Thu, 07 Mar 2002 21:28:06 -0500 Message-ID: <00f001c1c649$1837b1e0$0d770b3f`at`ms606108> From: "Chuck Bernard" Reply-To: "JudgeNet - the beer judge digest" Errors-To: judge-owner`at`synchro.com Sender: judge`at`synchro.com To: JudgeNet - the beer judge digest Subject: MCAB-IV Conference Registration Now On-Line!
