It has come to my attention that St. Patrick's may not be >supplying these products except directly to customers. If that is the case, >they would not be invited to advertise in the publication upon reissue >(assuming the criteria remains the same). Actually, Paul, it was recently pointed out to me that St. Pat's has not one, but 2 ads in Zymurgy for Beginners. It seems I missed the second one in the few times I looked at the magazine. There is a 1/3 page ad on the magazine's table of contents on page 2 - the most favorable spot in the publication to have an ad by the way - and this is the one everybody at Zymurgy is claiming is a wholesaler ad. But there is also another ad on page 17 where they are advertising a malt mill for sale. The one on page 17 sure doesn't look like any kind of wholesaler ad to me, it looks like a direct marketing ad, again with their website prominent. So what's the supposed justification on that one? Are you going to tell us that St .Pat's is the sole wholesale distributor of malt mills? And your IF statement with a built in assumption does nothing to reassure me or any of the other stores who were denied advertising in this publication that it won't happen again. In fact, it gives me the impression that you admit nothing, and that more of the same is on the way.
