X-Hops: 3 X-POST-MessageClass: 10; Mailing List Message Hi all, I was wondering what the conventional wisdom is on having homebrew contests on Sunday versus Saturday as is the norm. Specifically, the Seacoast Homebrewers Club (Portsmouth, NH for those who are interested) has traditionally linked our annual contest with the Grand Old Portsmouth Fall Brewers Festival, a two day beer festival event hosted by Strawbery Banke (yes, correct spelling) Museum. We have normally had our contest on Saturday, and run brewing demos on Sunday. The museum is becoming increasingly more interested in the educational aspect of beer brewing and we are considering swapping our programs to do brew demos on Saturday when the museum has a higher public turnout, and moving the judging to Sunday when there would be less intrusion by the public on the judging session. So whadda ya think? Sunday a good day to judge beer?
