This is the BJCP-registered competition for the 13th annual Small Brewers Festival, held every year in Mountain View, California since 1988. A notable feature of this competition is the Best of Show winner will be invited to brew their winning beer at the Mountain View Tied House Brewery for exhibition at the 2002 Small Brewers Festival of California. Entries are due from July 7 to July 21. See the full details for judging and entering at our website: http://www.wortsofwisdom.org. We need judges for this event. Although BJCP-accredited judges will have priority for judging assignments, novice judges are welcome and will be teamed with experienced judges. Stewards also are needed. Judging will take place at the Tied House Cafe & Brewery, at 954 Villa Street, Mountain View, CA on Saturday, August 4, 2001. Lunch will be served at the Tied House immediately following the completion of the judging. All judges and support staff also are eligible to receive a Festival Tasting Kit at the Small Brewers Festival of California the following weekend, August 11-12. The Festival Tasting Kit includes a festival glass and tokens good for tasting the beers served at the festival. The Small Brewers Festival of California is on August 11-12, THE WEEKEND FOLLOWING THE JUDGING. The Best-Of-Show judging will occur on Saturday afternoon, August 11, at the festival. Complete judging results will be available immediately following the Best-Of-Show judging. The festival is a charitable fund-raising event featuring typically 40+ craft breweries serving more than 150 beers. See http://www.smallbrewersfest.com for more information about the festival.
