don't make us search for your nuggets between massive quotations.  Nobody
appreciates a quote of the whole digest when a line or two is more than
enough.

Unless things changed from the late 80's, the HWBTA competition did not
require that the entry be brewed by some one who had one a previous
competition. I entered, and judged the HWBTA several times in the 80's, and
the requirement was that the entry be "sponsored" by a HWBTA member, which
usually meant a homebrew shop.The shop in Norfolk (Wine and Cake Hobbies)
sponsored any of their customers who wanted to enter. SOME shops may have
applied their own requirement that the entrant have won a recent
competition, but the HWBTA did not.
