The main judging will be held on Friday evening, April 27 and Saturday, April 28, at St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church in the Lake Murray area of San Diego (north of San Diego State). We may also be judging some categories on the preceding Friday and Saturday (April 20 and 21), at a location to be determined. This first round competition will be used to select California's entries into the National Homebrew Competition judging to be held in conjunction with the AHA National Homebrew Conference in LA in June. The best way to register is to go to the judge/steward registration website www.softbrew.com/ahanhc . Sign up if you can make any of the above days. If you plan to enter (California is the only state in this region this year), don't worry about listing what beers you plan to enter (one of the last questions on the registration sign-up page). We can ferret out the answers to that as we get close to the judging date. Also, we will be back in touch to provide additional details such as times and categories. Judges in the BJCP will be given priority in category assignments. Alternatively, you can send me an e-mail to volunteer to glorton at cts.com or phone me. Both the House and Senate Bills have been moving easily through committees with little opposition from the lobbyists. This bodes well for when the bills make it to the floors of the Senate & House for the full, final votes. Keep your fingers crossed, it ain't over till it's over but we're very optimistic at this point. --Next_Part_SYNC75212BEB85 Content-Type: message/rfc822 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Return-Path: Received: from neko.cts.com ([209.68.192.150]) by synchro.com with SMTP (Mailtraq/1.1.4.1123) id SYNC75172BEB14 for judge at synchro.com; Thu, 29 Mar 2001 21:32:52 -0500 Received: from pavilion (psc11199137.cts.com [204.216.199.137]) by neko.cts.com (8.9.3/8.9.3) with SMTP id SAA07832 for ; Thu, 29 Mar 2001 18:32:47 -0800 (PST) From: "Gregory Lorton" Reply-To: "JudgeNet - the beer judge digest" Errors-To: judge-owner at synchro.com Sender: judge at synchro.com To: JudgeNet - the beer judge digest Subject: NHC First-Round Judging - San Diego, California Date: Thu, 29 Mar 2001 18:32:13 -0800 Message-ID: <01c0b8c1$a1355600$89c7d8cc at pavilion> MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-Priority: 3 X-MSMail-Priority: Normal X-Mailer: Microsoft Outlook Express 4.71.1712.3 X-MimeOLE: Produced By Microsoft MimeOLE V4.71.1712.3 X-Hops: 3 X-POST-MessageClass: 10; Mailing List Message We are looking for judges and stewards for the First Round Regionals of the AHA's National Homebrew Competition.
