Apparently $6 is exessive to his sensitivities. Let me break it down for you Robert: Sure, it only costs $3.20 for priority mail shipping, but the vast majority of the people that have ordered have called in their order on my 800 number. This cost money. So far, all purchasers, other than local purchasers, have used a credit card. The BJCP has no credit card processing capability, so we are using my store's cc processor. There goes another 3 - 4%. Apparently, you think that my shop should simply absorb this expense. If you like to donate some money to this cause (say $1 per shirt), I will drop this part of the S & H charge. Yeah, I didn't think so. . . Lastly, processing orders take time, either my time or my employee's time, to pack the shirt, enter the order into the computer, and process the credit card. So, as you can see, it isn't simply a matter of "putting the thing in an envelope and leaving it for the postal carrier," So far this week, my staff and I have spent 4 - 5 hours packing and shirts. Would you like to take over this job? I can ship you the shirts. I promise I will only charge the program the actual UPS charges to get them to you. I bet you could streamline the whole operation, where it would only cost $3.20 per shirt to ship them. You see, when we ship supplies to a customer, we only charge the actual shipping charges, but that is because we are (hopefully) paying for these other incidental expenses with profits from the sale of merchandise. We have no profits with these shirts, so I'm trying to charge, to the best I can estimate, what it actually costs to pack, process and ship a shirt to someone. My intent is not to make money on this deal, but rather simply to not LOSE money on it. Unfortunately, I don't think I've succeeded thus far. If this still doesn't sit well with you, you can drop by the shop in person and pay for your shirt with cash or a check (make it out the "BJCP") and it will only cost you $22. BTW Robert, I was able to locate a shirt printer that was able to print these shirts for about $400 less than our other quote. That's almost another $3 per shirt you would have had to pay, but at least you wouldn't subjected to "that phony $6 "S&H."
