I would like to thank Bill Slack for his kind words, and to let you all know that it has been my sincere pleasure to serve as Eastern Exam Co-Director for the last 2.5 years. It hasn't always been easy, but it has always been an honor to have been recognized by the Board and the Judges of the BJCP as someone capable of handling the task. I leave knowing that the role is being left in the exceptionally capable hands of Dan Hall. I have known Dan for many, many years. I have worked with him in the grading program, been a fellow Boston Wort Processor, and attended many a competition and conference with him. There are only a small handful of people who have skills comparable to Dan's, and none that exceed him. I am confident that the BJCP will continue to prosper with him in the Exam Co-Director role. I will be available to assist Dan in the transition. It is then my intention to take a little time off from service in the grading program to get my current house sold and get situated into my new house. I hope to finish off my long stalled book project. I do plan to pick up grading again, and later this year or early next resume a post as an Associate Director.
