There are some bizarre regulations (eg, check out how California's import laws control how much alcoholic beverages you can bring into the state if you drive a car, take a common carrier, or walk...). While the site is principally directed at wineries and wine merchant, the regulations do apply to all alcoholic beverages. A surprise to me is how controlled Massachusetts is. Bob Devine ------------------------------ From: "RANDY ERICKSON" Date: Thu, 19 Feb 1998 17:25:44 -0800 Subject: Stock Ale Style Question Last year I brewed a Stock Ale, an old local (California) style I read = about in an article by Martin Lodahl. Basically, it's a strong, pale beer of about 1.080 with up to 25% adjunct = permissible. Hopping is aggressive at about 80 IBU, primarily bittered = with Clusters and several ounces of dryhops. It's just getting good. Any idea what style to enter a Stock Ale under? Both AHA and BJCP = guidelines if possible.
