Black) Subject: Re: JudgeNet Digest #995 (Mar 12, 1995) I'd like to add my support to the new BJCC appointees, a fine set, and second Chuck's suggestions regarding the importance of moving quickly to establish a truly independent and democratic BJCP. No time to ponder and debate the endless finer points of creating a Judge's Utopia. We need action and an immediately viable alternative to the AHA, otherwise their power base will prevail. I also agree with Chuck that JudgeNet represents a viable first alternative for the rapid and inexpensive dissemination of information. I would guess that far greater than 10% of registered judges already have access to email. If not, most won't be far behind, as recent estimates of the logarithmic Internet population boom attest. If Pat Baker (or yours truly) can find his way through cyberspace, so can most anyone! Yours in the cause of unfettered judging, Steve ------------------------------ End of JudgeNet Digest ************************
