*WARNING* this post contains sarcasm!

Porter can be brown or black, malty, roasted or sweet, bitter or not, hoppy 
or not...  So let's just get rid of it.
While we're at it, Bitter can be dry or sweet, aromatic or not, lightly or 
highly hopped, low to medium high gravity, very pale gold to dark 
amber-red...  So let's get rid of it.
Belgian ales... Forget it.  There's NO similarity between any of them.  So 
let's cancel the whole thing.
That leaves, let's see, American Light Lager.  That's it!  From now on, ALL 
entries to AHA sanctioned competitions must be American Light Lagers and 
conform to a specific set of guidelines.  Any entries that vary more than 
3% from the guidelines will be automatically disqualified...
