Really great beer. But its flavor is, well, unique. Lots of caramel, subdued hop bitterness, very smooth and drinkable. I've tasted two commercial examples called "porter", plus several homebrewed examples, and they seem pretty much the same as stout, roast malt evident, and hefty bitterness. That would be Anchor Porter, one other whose name escapes me now. What gives? If someone slipped me a Boulder Porter at a competition, would it be "in style"? t ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 24 Mar 1994 09:01:50 -0600 From: trl at photos.wustl.edu (Tom Leith MIR/ERL 362-6965) Subject: Running Club Meetings Thanks to all who replied.
